Coming Nov 2009- The Active Dog Adventures Shop will be launching! What makes our site and products unique is that we will be offering only products that we have used and tested! Since I own 2 strong breed dogs (Pitbulls, Kai & Primadonna) I've done all of the research for you on what works & what doesn't! Hello Pet Parents!
Are you interested in having your dog earn their Canine Good Citizen (CGC). Perhaps you are looking to do therapy work or would like to have your pooch be a good role model & member of society. Having good manners is what the CGC is all about. Active Dog Adventures now offers CGC evaluation testing! If you are interested in participating in a 4 week CGC course and test, please e-mail me!!

12 June 2009 - Beware, Summer is near!
Now that the summer is here, it is essential to take small steps that go a long way....
When hiking with your pooch, be sure to carry enought water for the both of you as dogs overheat much faster than humans do- Take frequent breaks & cool you pal off on the Underside of their belly w/water.
Also, the best leash to use on a hike would be a 6 foot leash, please leave the retractable leashes at home.. In So Cal, you can experience rattle snacks, mountain lions, bobcats etc. A 6 ft leash gives you better control of your pet & retractable leashes can snap should a predator choose to take hold of your beloved pet.
Keep having FUN outdoors w/your furry friend, but make sure to be safe!
